Anna Zgambo was born at Lusaka’s Kalingalinga Clinic in November 1989. She earned an honour’s high school diploma from Moscow’s International School of Tomorrow in 2005. Anna Zgambo graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2011 with a degree for Bachelor of Arts Languages in English Studies.

She worked in full-time employment as a publications specialist for Chemonics International at USAID’s STEP-UP Zambia project. In 2018, she obtained two DELF diplomas for French. She passed the A2 French examination with 77.50 points. Anna Zgambo earned 81.50 points on the B1 French examination conducted at Alliance Française de Lusaka.

On 24 October 2021, Anna Zgambo performed poetry at the Investiture Ceremony for Zambia’s 57th National Independence Day at State House. On 27 June 2022, she performed poetry for COMESA and FEMNET at Women LEAD Africa.

In 2022, she is a full-time student doing Master of Arts in Literature at the University of Zambia.
